On January 13, 2011, I drove from Texas to California to purchased a BEAUTIFUL, white female puppy from HuntersGem Farms aka HuntersGem Labs, in Riverside, California. This puppy was bought from HuntersGem with full registration at a price of $1800.
On February 22, 2011 and March 4, 2011, Mange was diagnosed and confirmed by two separate veterinarian area clinics. Before the medical condition appeared, I had the puppy’s dewclaws removed; micro chipped her, registered her with AKC, registered with AKC-CAR for life, and has given all vaccinations to date.
Since the mange diagnosis, I have provided medication and visits to the veterinarians for the two opinions at a cost of over $289.59 to date.
On March 30, 2011, during our first phone conversation since the diagnosis, I was told I must “prove” the puppy is from HuntersGem.
On the day I notified the breeder of the mange, I offered to drive the puppy to California from Texas so their vet could examine the puppy, which they declined, saying they do not cover this hereditary illness. I was told that HuntersGem “doesn't cover mites of any kind because veterinarians couldn’t determine which mite her puppies have”…??? .
This puppy is absolutely BEAUTIFUL; such a sweetheart, and of course, we have fallen “head over heels” in love with her. Although, she will make a fabulous pet for someone, we cannot breed her and therefore cannot put her in the show ring; it will be extremely difficult to give her up. I am totally flabbergasted as to why they won’t do something.
This has been a total nightmare. This puppy has become a very expensive pet for me. I am incurring expenses each day. HuntersGem will not refund the difference between full and limited registration which is only $600.00, Hunters Gem Labs absolutely refuses to remedy this situation.
All I wanted HuntersGem to do was to honor their warranty and replace the puppy, take the puppy back for a full refund, or refund the difference between the full and limited registration plus vet bills.
I am completely astounded by this whole experience.
I hope this post will encourage HuntersGem Farms to reevaluate this situation. 1293c46

| 3. Written by Jessica Lewandowski on December 30, 2011 from los angeles, california, US The people speaking nice about this lady must know her and are probably friends to her. This lady is a super fraud. Do not do any business with her. She is a cheat and runs her business like a puppy mill. She has promised to replace a puppy a bought from her with severe allergies and did not. Not only did she not replace but she took my dog promising she was going to make her better and find her a really nice home. She did not want to replace or return my dog. She is a fraud and claimes I abondoned my dog. If I abondoned her I would have dropped her a park. I spent more than 3,000 on medical bills and when she did not get better I did the only other option I had take her to the breeder who sold her to me like that. I loved my dog but did not have the financial income to keep up with medications and prescription diets. Pamela Baine is a fraud and because I kept my dog for a long as I could keep up with the bills she claimes it is too late for me to do anything now because the law only covers a year. Do not do business with her. |
| 4. Written by Pamela Baine on December 11, 2011 from los angeles, california, US It is amazing to me that most of the people who choose to attach me as a breeder are not adult enough to use their real name or maybe it is because it is all lies. I have at any one time 11 to 17 Labrador Retriever(we buy and sell) and 5 french bulldogs that we breed or are retired old guys. Yes we do rescue and place many different breed year round. I feel if we are breeding then we must also help the less fortunate pet out there find homes as well. As far as doing vet care at my home yes i have help many people for free with the knowledge i have from going to school to be a AHT(Animal Health Tech). Some just cant afford a vet so they come to me and i try to tell them what they can do at home to help their pets.Let us address Champ Lines. I have the best DNA Ch lines around . No i do not show with AKC at this point i am concentrating on the service Dogs and to breed for a great service dog they have to be calm. A calm dog just does not do well in the show ring with AKC. the want bouncy active dogs.Mine just are not.My dogs have never had health problem. We like all honest breeders have had a very few problem in 22 years of breeding. 2 ODC, 3 Elbows, 2 hips, 1 tumor,3 with skin problems. This is a great track record for the time we have been breeding.I also would like everyone to know i dropped the (Hunters)From gemswhitelabs because i don't breed for the hunting dog only service dogs. If you have any questions you are more than welcome to contact me. |

We went back a few times to look at the puppies and each time the facility was clean, kennels were well kept and all dogs looked very well taken care of, Pam was very nice and even years after we had our dog always was willing to take our calls and answer and help us with any questions we had about him. I am interested in a white lab and would not hesitate to go back to Pam for one. |
| 6. Written by concerned on October 11, 2011 from glendale, california, US Huntersgem Labs is now Gemswhitelabs.com Pam Baine's did this to avoid all the negative feedback she is getting. This women has bred; labs, cane corso, french bulldogs, boston terriers, pugs, maltese, etc.... I have been in here back yard to see over 50+dogs, and one dog with broken legs that was never tended to. She had a litter of pups that got PARVO and she treated them in her home! Not at a vet! She is a liar, and a fake. She uses her religion as a sales technique. Her dogs have whip worms, giarda, coccidia, demodex, & seizures. This so called farm is another puppy mill! She uses a quack vet who runs his business like a chop shop. She does not have legit paperwork on her dogs and lies about the lineage. Her dog are NOT AKC champion, merely competed in ICA sanctioned events. Any good breeder with common sense knows an int'l champion means nothing! She removes her puppies dew claws her self in her kitchen! So has so many dogs she has to hire employees. Breeder?no, puppy mill? yes!!! |
| 7. Written by Judy on August 23, 2011 from los angeles, california, US I had a bad experience with Pam Baine. She does not give a written health guarantee and sends your papers for your puppy showing completely different parents than she showed you at her home. DISHONEST!! |

Since I cannot remove the posts by me, this should serve as notice that Hunters Gem is no longer an issue to me. Thank you |
